New Year's Eve Party

On New Year's Eve we went down to the hotel with some of the families we go to Mexico with. It is lots of fun . . . we have treats, play games, and swim! Hadlee LOVED swimming! And she looked adorable in her suit! Hadlee stayed up all the way until midnight without any naps the whole party! She wasn't even ready to go to bed when her mom and dad were!

Finally she gave in to sleep and got her own big bed!

Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas

Christmas this year was better than I could have imagined. I don't think I could have know how amazing it would be with Hadlee until I actually had her here!





On Christmas Eve Colton's family has a tradition to go to a hotel and swim. We were so excited to take Hadlee swimming, but she had been sick so we thought she shouldn't go. Well, first off went the pants so she could play with a ball in a puddle.

Next, she got to dip in her toes.

Eventually, she was in and she loved it!

Hadlee was pretty good at opening her presents. She started opening them with just her pointer finger and thumb. That dainty stuff wasn't really working, so we showed her how to grab a handful! She got the hang of it quickly. She wanted to play with each present after she opened it . . . of course.

Colton surprised me with this awesome gift! I was so incredibly excited! I am still a little overwhelmed with all the things it can do. I'm trying to figure it all out. (I read the manual, watched the DVDs, and went to a class). The next thing I need to do is figure out photoshop!

8, 9, 10 Months Old

Wow, I know I'm behind now. I had a goal to at least post once a month! I really can't believe that my little princess is 10 months. Next thing I know, she'll be one. It really hit me when we scheduled her next doctor check up and it was when she was 1! Hadlee has the cutest personality. She's also very smart, even ask her grandmas! Just a few fun things about Hadlee now:

- She is busy, busy, busy! She always wants to grab someone's finger and walk around. Actually, she's down to holding on with just one hand.

- She LOVES reading stories! She will always stop to read her books. She wants to look at anything that has pages!

- She notices whenever anyone in the same room as her is eating and she wants some too!

- She's had her first really bad cold, ear-ache, and injury (bitten by a 2 year old on the cheek!!)

- She is starting to sleep a little better at night! She's down to waking up once or twice!

- She LOVES balls! It was her first word and she always wants to hold one. Even limes at the grocery store! I think she must take after Colton.

- She dances to music with her hands.

- She still doesn't crawl, but she is so close

- She says lots of words, "ball, dada, daddy, mama, nana, light . . . and she tries to copy us!"

Tis The Season

I love Christmas time! This year was better than ever. I am so thankful we have Hadlee! Christmas is so much better with our little princess around.

Festival of Trees. . .

Hadlee LOVED Christmas trees! My mom has these little animals that my grandma gave her. Hadlee had so much fun with them.

Gingerbread houses. . . Hadlee was sad she couldn't play in all the candy!

Daddy's work party. We though Hadlee was little enough not to be nervous of Santa. She really is pretty friendly with strangers. Oh no, the second she sat on his lap and looked up at him - instant terror!

Dinner at the Roof!

Even Hadlee had some of the delicious food. She was so good! She ate and ate - or at least she thought she was. Really, almost all the food ended up all over the floor and table!

The banana from home was her favorite!

She was exhausted from all the eating!
