If She Dared . . .

Let go, she could totally walk.  For the past two weekends, we have been "practicing" walking.  Hadlee is so good at going from person to person, and even over to a toy or couch.  She forgets when she is playing and stands without holding on all the time.  But, I'm sure like most babies, she just can't do it when she thinks about it.  We walk around constantly with Hadlee holding on with just one hand.  She doesn't pull or hang though!   So... if she dared she'd be cruising all over the place!  Watch out!

The funniest thing... last night when Hadlee got out of the bathtub, my phone rang.  So while I was talking on the phone, Hadlee was walking around totally naked.  Which is the cutest thing ever!  Anyways, she figured out the funniest thing to do.  All of the sudden, she stops, pats her bare chest (kind of loudly), and cracks up.  Then she continued doing it... walk, pat, laugh!  It was hilarious!

Caden was the same way. I had months and months of walking around in circles. Someone suggested having him hold a wooden spoon (instead of a finger), then once he got going we would let go of our end. It didn't work for us, but it might for you!

That is so cute! Daci can walk as long as she isn't thinking about it too. But then she realizes what she is doing and becomes completely uncoordinated :) We are getting about 6-10 steps at a time out of her though. Don't you just love it when they discover something new that they can do and then totally crack up over it?!
